Christmas Holidays

Christmas Holidays don't officially start until next Friday, but I am off to Thailand tomorrow so no more school for me! I just wanted to tell you that I won't be blogging for three weeks because I will be off sunning myself. I am looking forward to it so much, even though I do have to revise for my January exams while I'm there. :(
See you in three weeks,
Freya x

It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas

That there is a (not very good) photo of my Christmas tree!
I am feeling all Christmassy at the moment because I have been watching Elf which is one of my favourite Christmas films, and eating Yule log! Elf is also one of those films that is on loads at Christmas every year, so whenever it comes on TV you know it is nearly christmas.

It's monday tomorrow...

... and I really don't want to go to school. I know I am going to be dead at school tomorrow because I have a cold and it is currently 11.15 so considering I have to wake up at 6.40 I should really be asleep. But of course I can't sleep. I wish I didn't have to go to school tomorrow, so I could lie in bed and watch films all day. It feels so much better to do that when you could be at school, than on a weekend. On a weekend it feels like I am wasting my day, but on a school day it doesn't.

Well I really should get some sleep now, night night :)

My Weekend

So I am sitting in my dad's office right now waiting for him to finish some paperwork, and I thought I might as well write a little blog post.

Anyway I think I will start with Friday, because that kind of counts as the weekend. Well half of Friday does anyway. Friday morning I had school and that was pretty uneventful. Except in German which was first thing I felt really sick, which is  never good, but it did mean that my group didn't have to do our presentation :) It was probably partly due to the fact that I looked like I was about to start crying any second, because my friend kept asking if I was OK, and I don't know if this is just me but whenever people do that it always makes me want to cry. So anyway I only had one more lesson after that, and then I got to go home! I spent the rest of the day lying in bed watching TV until my parents went out and I had to get up and make dinner for me and my little brother.

Yesterday evening I went into town to go to the Christmas parade because my little brother was in it. Me and my cousin just walked round eating candy floss and watched the parade and then we went home. The parade was really cute, all the little kids has these lantern things shaped like stars and angels and things, and there was Santa in the front being pulled by a horse and carriage. Once we got back all of my cousins and aunts and uncles came round for dinner because we will be away for Christmas dinner this year. It was really nice.

Today I have literally done nothing except go to see my horses, go to my dads office, and now I am home again. So that's pretty much it.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It snowed for the first time this year yesterday! I was walking to school, and we were nearly there and then it started snowing! It even started to settle, but then about half an hour later it all melted, even though it was still snowing which is kind of weird. Anyway everyone got really excited and it looked really pretty.

Achy, Achy, Achy Arm

I had to go to the doctors and get a jab today (ready for when I go to Thailand), and now my arm really aches! I really don't mind jabs that much, not like some people. I remember when we had the cervical cancer jabs at school loads of people started freaking out and I was just kind of like "Ok calm down...". So anyway the thing I hate about jabs is how your arm suddenly starts hurting an hour later. It's like that when you get braces as well. I remember everyone telling me how much they hurt and how they could only eat soup and stuff, and then when I got them they didn't hurt at all and I thought I had got away without them hurting. But then an hour or so later it is like sooooo painful!

xoxo Freya (Yes I have been watching gossip girl and that is why I felt like ending my post like that. Haha)

Liebster Blog Award

OMG I am so excited about this! Thank you so much to Sophie from http://beingfifteenandblogging.blogspot.co.uk for nominating me, she is amazing! :)

Ok so here are the rules:

(1) When you receive the award, thank the person who gave it to you, and include their link in your blog(2) Post 11 things about yourself.(3) Answer the 11 questions of the person who nominated you.(4) Choose up to 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers.(5) Create 11 questions for your nominees!(6)  Inform the nominees of their nomination.

11 facts about me:

(1) The subjects I take are: Psychology, History, Human Biology and German

(2) I am completely obsessed with the TV show friends, and I would really like a friends T-shirt if anyone feels like buying one for me ;)
(3) I have three younger brothers
(4) I have long brown hair, and brown/hazel eyes
(5) I procrastinate like crazy, and I should really be writing my History essay right now
(6) I love tea and drink it all the time (how British am I!?)
(7) I used to do Ballet until I realized that I can't dance
(8) My favourite food is ham and pineapple pizza
(9) I absolutely can't stand spiders
(10) I am really clumsy - I was in the canteen drinking hot chocolate on Monday, and I managed to pour it all down myself, so I spent the rest of the day smelling like chocolate :)
(11) I lose everything - I have currently misplaced my hairbrush, so I rocking a (very) messy bun right now

Here are the questions I have to answer:

(1) who or what was your first love?Well I have never been in love with anybody (blame that on going to an all girls school), but I love my family to bits (even if they are annoying) and I guess I always have so I would say it's my family.

(2) where is your favourite place on earth? This is really hard to choose because there are so many places that I love, but my favourite place is probably London. My favourite place in London is probably Covent Garden because I like the little stalls in the market bit, and there are nice Restuarants where you ca sit outside, and my favourite thing of all are the street performers.  (3) what makes you amazing?Hmm okay this is actually a really hard question. I would like to think that I am a good friend, and I think I am a pretty good listener.

(4) where do you see yourself in 10 years?I'm going to tell you the truth I don't have a clue. The future terrifies me, and I honestly have no idea what I want to do with my life, which terrifies me even more. I hope that in 10 years I will have been to university, found a job that I love, and be living in a tiny apartment in New York.

(5) what inspired you to start blogging?I actually really don't know, I think I just woke up one morning and decided to make a blog!

(6) why are you proud of where you live?I've been thinking about this question for a while now, and I can't really think of anything. I guess that because I have never gone to a local school and most of my friends live far away I don't spend much time here, so I don't feel that much of a connection to this place.

(7) if you could be a character from a book, who would you be and why?I think I would like to be Katniss from The Hunger Games because she is so strong and clever and I would get to end up with Peeta. I wouldn't like to fight in the Hunger Games though. Or maybe I would be Alice from Alice in Wonderland because it would be fun to fall down the rabbit hole. Or maybe I would be someone from Harry Potter, not a main character though, just a random girl because it would be fun to be magic, and who doesn't want to go to Hogwarts?

(8) who do you admire most in the world?Umm... I really don't know.

(9) what is your favourite song that in your opinion is under appreciated?'Everything has changed' by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, because I love that song, and I don't know if it is just my friends but it seems pretty under appreciated to me.

(10) how are you going to spend this Christmas?I will be in Thailand this christmas, so I will probably spend it lying on the beach and swimming.

(11) what is your favourite quote, and why? My favourite quotes are always chnging, but a quote that I have always loved is this one from A Cinderella Story - "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game"

Ok so here are my nominees:

(1) http://offmychestblogdotcom2.wordpress.com

And here are my questions for you:

(1) If you could go anywhere right now where would you go?

(2) What is your favourite food?
(3) Do you believe in love at first sight?
(4) What would your perfect date be like?
(5) What is your biggest fear?
(6) What is your worst habit?
(7) When you were little what did you want to be when you grow up?
(8) What is your favourite season?
(9) What is your favourite animal?
(10) Where do you want to live in the future?
(11) If you could be anybody (Character from a book/movie/TV show, celebrity, someone you know...) who would you be?

So that's it, thankyou again to Sophie for nominating me!

Hello December

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted anything on here! And I can't believe it's december tomorrow, this year has gone so quickly! It's really scary, especially since I have my psychology and biology exams in january. But the fact that it is December tomorrow also means it is getting close to christmas! It also means that it is getting closer to the time of year that it might snow, it is starting to get really cold. This morning there was frost everywhere. I can't wait for it to snow, I love snow so much! It is definitely my favourite thing about winter, as well as christmas jumpers and hot chocolate. I love snow days, even though my school is never closed. Seriously it never closes, this morning (early) there was a fire in one of the labs at school and it was still open! We just weren't allowed in one part of the school. It wasn't that bad though because luckily (?) The caretaker came in and a fire engine came, so it only really did damage to one or two rooms. I have to say it was pretty exciting coming in to school today to see a fire engine and some sexy firemen ;)

Halloween

It's Halloween tomorrow! I love Halloween  I'm not really sure why but I do. When I was younger it was because I got to go trick or treating and get loads of sweets (not that I wouldn't still love to do that now...). Well anyway I am going to my friend B's house with a few of my other friends and we are just going to eat pizza and watch horror movies all night, I'm really looking forward to it! I kind of wish in a weird way that I was going to a party because I have never been to a proper party before, or been drunk or anything and I feel like I should because that is something every teenager should do, does that make any sense?

It is half term at the moment, and I just realised that tomorrow is Wednesday  which means that it is going really quickly :( I haven't actually done anything. My parents were away for the whole first weekend so I was left at home looking after my little brother, I got £50 out of it though! I also got an excuse to go and see Madagascar 3! :) That reminds me I really really really want to see 'The perks of being a wallflower' but it isn't in the cinema any more, which is really sad. This always happens when me and my friends want to see a film, but me and my friend H have decided that we have to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD and then we are going to watch it round her house. She has a cinema room which is really cool! I also really want to read the book, I was going to buy it today but then I forgot and I didn't remember until I was at the station and I couldn't be bothered to walk beck into town to get it. I also have no money right now, so I think I will have to convince my mum to buy it for me tomorrow. I am really in the mood to read that book right now - are you ever in that mood where you want to curl up on the sofa, drink tea and read a good book?

Anyway, I have completely forgotten what the point of this post even was - I am just rambling on about nothing really. I hope you all have a great Halloween!

Currently

Reading: Nothing at the moment, but I think I am going to go into the library tomorrow and order 'The Perks of being a wallflower' because I really want to read it, and see the film.

Watching: Cat videos on youtube, my teacher showed us some at school today and some of them are so funny so I am kind of addicted to watching them now!

Listening to: Taylor swift, I absolutely love her at the moment and I can't wait for her new album to come out! Also there is a song on there ('everything has changed') which is with Ed Sheeran and I love him as well, so what could be better than that? This is one of my favourite songs of hers:
Working on: Getting a job! I didn't even get an interview at boots, but I have now applied for Asda so finger crossed again!

Wishing: That half term would hurry up and come already! Only one more week to go now!
Hey, so I realise that I have been away for a while - as I mentioned before I get a ton of Homework! I think I am getting used to it now though and hopefully I will start blogging more frequently again. I actually think I might do that 'a week in the life of me' thing again starting tomorrow, what do you think?

Hmm ok so let me update you on been going on in the past 20 days or so:
I realised that I really really really need to find a job because I need more clothes for school and I have to somehow get £1000 for my trip to africa in july. I applied for a job at boots last night so fingers crossed!
I think that's about it really... yeah I know my life is really exciting! ;)
Oh I thought of something else there is this boy in my sixth form who I think is really cute (never actually spoken to him, but still...), I told my friend this and then she went and told him I have a crush on him! So you know that's kind of awkward...

I actually wrote this post on Monday but completely forgot to finish/post it so I am just going to post it now anyway...

What beautiful weather...

Hahahahaha not at all! It has been pouring with rain since Sunday, and it is getting depressing! However it is the perfect weather for curling up in bed and watching films/TV shows, which is what I am doing at the moment.Well I would be anyway if my internet wasn't being so slow... Anyway that pretty much sums up my weekend as well, except for Saturday when I went to the cinema to see House at the end of the street. We had to practically drag one of my friends in because she hates scary movies, she was even scared by chronicle (not a scary film at all by the way)! Well anyway I am glad that we did because it is a really good film, and her face was hilarious!

I realize that I have been away for a while, it is mostly because I have nothing interesting going on in my life right now. It is pretty much just school, homework and constant tiredness. Something exciting (or at least different) almost happened because I was going to get tickets to see The Black Keys in December, but it is the day before I go on holiday so I can't go.

So anyway that's all I really have to say for now,

Freya

So much homework :(

So as you probably guessed by the title of this post I have been getting so much homework lately! Seriously I get homework from all of my subjects EVERY DAY, and being the procrastinator that I am I never do it on the night it is set, always the night before it is due in. So of course it just builds up and now I have so much, which sucks. Oh my god I hate homework so much! I am also so tired at the moment because I have to wake up so early for school, but when I get into bed at night I am just not tired any more so I don't get to sleep for ages. It is so annoying!

While I am having a little moan about school I might as well say that I am freaking out a little bit because I still have no idea what I want to do with my life, which I wasn't too bothered about until my Extended Project lesson yesterday. I still have no idea what to do it about and my teacher was going round the class asking what we were thinking of doing it on, when she got to me I was like "um... maybe something to do with history... or psychology", and so she asked what university I wanted to go to, so I told her I didn't know (inside I am also screaming "I don't even know what I want to study...") and she just gave me this utterly despairing look. Then she told me to look on the websites of some I might go to and pick a topic off of the first year course, I just kind of nodded not wanting to tell her I don't have a clue at all. And then later on my friend said that we have to decide by the end of this year - OH MY GOD! I do actually have one university I want to go to - it has been a totally unrealistic dream of mine to go to Columbia in New York (mostly because I love the city!). I say unrealistic because 1. I will probably never get in and 2. I probably couldn't afford it anyway, I mean American universities are among the most expensive in the world.

Well anyway my dinner is ready so I have to go... :)

Paralympics

I know that the paralympics are over now, but I am still catching you up on my summer... We managed to get tickets for athletics last monday, which was the day before I started school. I went up there with my family and just before we went through the security my mum realized that two of the tickets were for the next day! I know how stupid can my parents be! They then decided that we should try to get in with them anyway, which I knew wouldn't work, but did they listen? Of course not. And guess what happened... they scanned the tickets and said two were for the wrong day, and me and my dad had to be escorted out! How embarrassing is that?

Me and my dad got dinner at a yummy brazillian restaurant and then got on the train back home, he decided to drive straight to work (he works up north for most of the week) so I had to be picked up by his driver (who seems to have picked me up quite a few times this summer, he even took me and K to Essex so now everyone thinks that I am really rich! Which I am not by the way, well I don't think so anyway...). The night hadn't turned out too badly considering, until I got home and found all the doors and windows locked (a rare occasion in my house) and that my mum who was in the Olympic stadium had the key. By this time it was about 9.30 and I knew that my family wouldn't be back until midnight, so I didn't know what to do. Seeing as it was the first day of school the next day I couldn't really go round anyone's house so I decided to watch films in the summer house until they came home. That was fine until I decided to go to sleep, because then I kept hearing creepy sounds outside...

I went to the paralympics the next night and it was really good! I was so tired though after going to bed at about 12.30 and having to wake up at 6.30 two nights in a row!

Currently

As I said in my last post last week was my first full week back at school, actually it was my first week of sixth form. Which means that I no longer have to wear uniform, get free periods and can go in and out of school whenever I want (as long as I don't have a lesson of course). There are also boys in the sixth form which I thought would be weird having been at an all girls school for five years, but it actually isn't. So so far sixth form is looking good, although the first week is always easy and I know that I am going to start getting homework this week :( Anyway...

Reading: 'That summer' by Sarah Dessen. I fell in love with this author after reading 'The truth about forever' (multiple times) and 'lock and key' so when I saw a couple of books by her in the library I immediately rented them. I haven't had much time to read lately so I haven't finished it yet, so far it is good, but I don't like it as much as the other two that I mentioned.

Watching: Revenge - I absolutely love this show! There is so much drama and excitement and I think it is getting near the end of the series so it is getting so good now! Also it's Monday so it is on tonight, which meant it was the first show I thought of. You should definitely watch it, although you have to start from the beginning or you won't understand it at all. I am also still in love with Gossip Girl, which I forgot about a bit until I watched it round my friends house on Saturday, so I am probably going to start obsessively watching that again soon!

Working on: Not procrastinating about everything. I had the whole summer to come up with something to do my extended project on, but I only started thinking about it the other day. I now have until Friday to find one (if anyone has one I will love you forever!) and read two books/articles about it and write about them, so I am really wishing I had done that sooner. That's just one example of something I have been procrastinating about lately, but I am sure there are plenty more...

Listening to: I was looking through my ipod the other day and I realised how much rubbish music there is on there (seriously I have a ton of glee cast songs on there which is just embarrassing...) so I am going to spend tonight downloading loads of new songs and sorting it out. There i go with the procrastination again (I really need to do my German homework). Anyway I have recently remembered why I used to love maroon 5 so much, so that's what I have been listening to lately. I also love this song:

Eating: Subway! Since we are aloud to go out of school for lunch now me and my friends seem to be going here a lot. I love it, and hey it's healthier than McDonalds...

Wishing: That summer holidays could last longer, I am not looking forward to weeks of waking up early, constantly being tired and homework... I also wish that we were allowed to wear shorts to school because it is actually really hot at the moment, but for some reason my school is stupid and won't let us. Surely they are better than skirts?

Anticipating: Christmas! I know it is ages away but we were talking about it today and I am actually really excited. I am going to Thailand this year at Christmas which is going to be so good!

We heart it

Hey, I haven't posted in ages because I haven't had time as I went to Essex for a week, then helped out at guide camp when I came back and then this has been my first week back at school! :( I will explain about all that later though because I can't be bothered to write at the moment so I am just going to show you some cool pictures I found on we heart it:

The big apple

I just realised that I didn't write a post about my trip to NYC at the end of June. It was amazing, but I am not really in a mood for writing now so I am just going to show you a few of my pictures for now.

A little catch up - Summer and the Olympics

Hey guys, so I know I have been away for ages again but I do actually have an excuse this time! My cousin and aunt and uncle came to stay for 3 weeks, so I have not had any time for blogging or anything. I haven't really done much, we just spend most of our time swimming and playing badminton/tailgate/table
tennis/croquet etc. in my back garden.

I did however go to the Olympics! Twice! This is actually the first time that I have even watched much of the Olympics on TV and I am actually quite sad it has ended. There is still the paralympics though and hopefully we are going to get some last minute tickets for that too. I think that the paralympics is s amazing and inspiring, as is the normal Olympics - I think London 2012 definitely achieved its aim to 'inspire a generation'. I might even be inspired to be more sporty, if only there was a sport that I didn't completely fail at...

So anyway the first event I went to see was hockey, which I went to with my dad and two oldest brothers (they are 14). We got to see two matches, but unfortunately Great Britain weren't in either of them, it was still a lot of fun to watch and I was glad to have been able to go to the Olympics and into the park. The park is huge and it was great, there were so many different food stands and loads of things to do - we had a great day! There are big "park live" screens set up where you can watch Olympic events going on all over the country, and the atmosphere was great. It is also so easy to get there because from where I live you can take a high speed train right to the park which takes 30 minutes or something! (I don't live in London by the way.)

The second event I went to was the sailing (and windsurfing) in weymouth with my whole family. It was also fun to watch and there was again a great atmosphere, I didn't like it quite as much as the hockey though. We stayed in a shepherds hut on a campsite nearby for two nights and the day after we went to durdle door (well my parents did, but we were lazy and sat and ate the best ice cream ever while they walked there) and to the beach. You have to climb a huge hill and the view from the top is gorgeous, it does not look like dreary England at all! I will show you some pictures when I can find the lead for my camera :)

Those were pretty much the only times I left my house except to go to the beach or the shop and babysitting.  Oh except we also went to thorpe park, which is like the best theme park in the UK! It is so good! We went on a rainy day so it was really quiet and we barely had to queue (the longest queue was 20 minutes or something, whereas last summer when we went we queued for 1 hour 45 minutes for saw! It was worth it though).

Stealth, which goes from 0-80mph in 1.8 seconds!

A week in the life of me, Day 6 & 7

So this is the final day of me telling you what I have been doing every day, and even though I slipped up on a couple of days I think I am going to miss blogging about my day every evening.

I will start with yesterday which was pretty uneventful as I had a really bad cold, so spent most of the day lying around watching TV. I am sorry for not blogging yesterday but I had a horrible headache and when I went on my computer it got even worse, and I just didn't feel like it.

So that was yesterday, very exciting I know ;) Today I went to the cinema to see "Magic Mike" with some of my friends. It is basically just about some male strippers, there is not really much of a plot but it stars Alex Pettyfer and Channing Tatum so no complaints there. One of my friends and I had also wanted to see spiderman, but Magic Mike was in the deluxe so we chose that, something which we kind of regretted afterwards as the film wasn't amazing. After that I walked back to the station with one of my friends, we had a quick look round H&M and bought an Ice cream (not from H&M of course) and then went home. When I got home I went for a swim, and then sat around on the deck tanning and reading my book. At the moment I am reading "a gathering light" by Jennifer Donnelly, but I have just started it so I can't tell you if it is good or not.

A week in the life of me, Day 5

Today was another sunny day, so my family all decided to go sailing and forced me to come. Normally I would just stay home and babysit my little brother, but since he was sailing too I had to join in with my family. I don't mind sailing, but only on either some sort of luxury yacht (wouldn't that be nice?), or one of those tiny one man boats. I know this is strange, but to me one of those little boats feels much safer than the boat that my parents have. There wasn't much wind today so sailing was actually kind of fun, and I got to helm (steer) for most of it, luckily we were out at sea so there wasn't much for me to crash into!

We didn't get back from sailing til about 5 so that was all I did today really, apart from the usual watching TV etc. On the way to the sailing club we sat in the trailer, which was actually quite fun when my dad went fast :) We did get some strange looks from people who were probably thinking "so this is what people round here do for fun..." the fact that we were eating cupcakes and my little brother and cousin were trying to shoot people with water pistols may have added to the strangeness a little bit...

A week in the life of me, Day 4

Sorry about my lack of a post yesterday. It was not because I was doing anything exciting, I watched Date Night and then tried to type it on my ipod, but it hates blogger so I couldn't actually type anything more than a sentence. This post will probably still be short because E is probably going to come round in a minute and no-one actually knows that I have this blog.

Yesterday was actually sunny, so most of the day was spent hanging out in my back garden with E, my brother and another one of my cousins. Then I got dragged to a barbecue full of old people by my family, so that was fun (haha not really). Then we cycled home, I watched Date Night and went to bed. Not a very exciting day, but since it is a rare occasion to have actual sun in this country sunbathing etc. was pretty nice.

Today is another sunny day so I am going to go and enjoy the sun, but now that I have turned my computer on I might be stuck here for a while...

A week in the life of me, day 3

Today didn't get off to a great start: I was woken up at 7 by my brothers (who still have school) singing, shouting and kicking footballs at my door. Now let me tell you I am not a morning person, so I was not at all happy about this, but getting out of my warm, cosy bed to shout at them was just too much effort. Despite my early start to the day I didn't really do much until about 11 when my cousin 'E' came over (the one I went to see the olympic torch with), unless you count answering the door to a man come to pick up my dads car whilst in my pyjamas with horrible bed hair! When E came round we went on the trampoline for about 5 minutes, before deciding it was too cold and going inside to play on the Wii. The sun came out in a bit though, so we swiveled the TV round and played Just Dance on my balcony. We got a few strange looks for that!

We decided that since it was her first day of summer we needed to go over to the beach, so off we went with the intention of just sticking our toes into the sea. When we got over there however we thought that although the sea was freezing it would be a much better idea to see how far along the brake-water (/groynes?) we could walk... maybe not! We weren't planning on getting very wet but I might as well have gone swimming my clothes were that wet. You see when we were walking along we had forgotten about these things called waves... Also at one point (we didn't go out very far though) we had to step down, and since E is taller I let her go ahead to see if it carried on or not, not realising that there wasn't anything on the other side. So I ended up hanging onto a post trying not to fall into the water, meaning I was now dripping wet and covered in green gunk! We must have looked pretty strange walking back, considering there was absolutely no-one swimming! After that we dried off, got some lunch and then went to play a bit of tennis in my back garden. We are not much good, so most of the time was spent getting the ball out of various bushes. We had fun making those grunting noises tennis players make and wierding out my neighbours though!

We didn't really do much after that, just watched TV really until my brothers came home from school and we went to play some family cricket... great (sarcasm). It wasn't too bad until my little brother did his usual of going off in a mood when he got out. So that was pretty much my day, apart from some more TV watching (I know I watch far too much). I am now going to go and watch step up because I love the second one and have also seen the third, but never the first one.

I hope you are having a good summer so far :)

A week in the life of me, Day 2

I know the day isn't over yet but I am pretty sure that nothing else is going to happen in my utterly boring life. Seriously right now I am actually wishing that there was some drama in my life, which is a bit crazy, but it is just BORING right now and all my friends are either away or haven't finished school yet.

So today I went shopping with my mum because she seems to think that summer is actually going to come (sun in England? Not very likely lol) so she had to go and buy a ton of stuff. Cue me walking through town looking like an idiot carrying a camping chair, cricket bat and paddles for my little brothers dinghy. We also bought some tennis rackets, a picnic bag thing and some trackies - oh what an exciting shopping trip that was! (sarcasm if you hadn't guessed). After that we went home and I watched TV in my room whilst hiding from the cleaner, I never know quite what to do when she is round, and then I went horse riding. And that was pretty much my day, I am currently sitting in my room having just finished watching some gossip girl on my laptop (I told you I am addicted). Yep very exciting ;)

A week in the life of me, Day 1

Hi! I have been away for ages again, sorry. I keep telling myself that I will blog more , but... Anyway I saw this on another blog (can't seem to come up with any of my own ideas lately can I?) and I thought that since it is summer now it would be a good way for me to get blogging :) I kept meaning to do this post today but my cousin was here all day, and then I watched some gossip girl on my laptop (I am addicted), and then I had to watch the next episode because of course it ended on a cliffhanger. I am rambling now, sorry :)

So without further ado I present Day 1:
I had to drag myself out of bed at 7.45 this morning which would be considered a lie in on a school day, but since I have had weeks of sleeping in felt like about 5 in the morning! I was off to see the olympic torch come through my town! So we drove up there, dropped my brother off as he was in the parade and went to find a good spot to watch. We had a long wait before the torch came, which my cousin and I filled with trying to aquire as much free stuff as possible. First we were given little union jack flags to wave, then balloons, and then we remembered seeing a coca-cola lorry drive past us earlier on. So off we went pushing through the crowds in search of a free coke. (I am going to have to keep this post short because I am typing it on my ipod and for some reason the internet keeps closing itself down which is a bit annoying.) We also got some sort of coca-cola trays and some green ribbon things. The actual torch wasn't that exciting after all the waiting but I am glad to have seen it and the carnival parade that followed was nice. We then went home, my little brother, cousin and I had a picnic on the landing (it was too cold outside) and the rest of the day was spent on the wii and playstation, and watching TV.

I will now say goodnight before my internet can go off again and I have to write those last few sentences for the third time.
^ As i was typing that guess what happened...!? Night night :)

Hello Again...

I haven't posted anything on her in ages because well to be honest with exams and revision and everything I just completely forgot about it. Whenever I'm not revising I can't be bothered to do anything but watch TV or try to sort out stuff for my trip to New York this summer (so excited!!!)

Anyway I saw this thing called 'currently' on another blog where you basically post about what you are currently doing (obviously), so here it is:

Reading: The Hunger Games - I think that I posted on here when I first got the books which was ages ago, and I am still only half way through the first book. Not because I don't like it - I love it even more than the film -    simply because as I mentioned earlier I haven't had any films.

Watching: A lot of things - I basically watch every show on e4! A show I have discovered recently is 'revenge' which is about a girl trying to get revenge on the people who framed her father when she was little.

Working on: I don't really think I'm working on anything at the moment, just trying to not fail all of my exams!

Listening to: Again it's really hard to pick just one thing, but at the moment I really love the song 'sweater weather' by The Neighbourhood. I am not really sure why, I just love it!

Eating: Since study leave started I have been eating so much! I weighed myself the other day and I have gained almost half a stone, I haven't weighed myself in ages so not just in study leave (hopefully). The food that I have been eating loads of at the moment is rich tea biscuits - dipped in tea of of course. The bad thing is that they don't fill you up and I could actually just sit there and eat the whole pack without even realising!

Anticipating: The end of exams, My Birthday and New York! Unfortunately my last exam is on my birthday, but at least it will all be over. I going to New York the next day, and then when I get back it is Prom the next day so I am going to be pretty busy!

What are you guys doing at the moment?

Up Up Up - Givers

The Hunger Games

Look what arrived today...

I ordered these a while ago because I loved the film and everyone said the books were really good! My friend is totally obsessed with twilight even said that the hunger games is better, so I thought that I had to read them! If you haven't seen the film it is basically about an event called 'the hunger games' where two representatives from each district are chosen to compete against each other, and only the winner will come out alive. Katniss takes the place of her younger sister to compete in the hunger games, as well as Peeta (the boy chosen from her district). That was a rubbish summary, but it is a really amazing film; it has romance, friendship, action, everything! You should definitely watch it if you haven't already.

Today is the first day of study leave, and since I have finally got these I doubt will be doing much revising...

Maybelline Express Finish Nail Varnish

So I went into town today, it wasn't a hugely successful trip, but I did get this nail varnish which is really good. The colour I chose is 'turquoise lagoon' and it looks really good.

Another thing that I really like about this nail varnish is that it drys really quickly (40 seconds according to the bottle, but I didn't time it), and you only need one coat so you can use it even when you don't have much time. The nail varnish costs £4.00. This is probably my new favourite nail varnish!

Change...

I go on study leave next Wednesday(!), and next year I'm starting sixth form, so this has made me think a lot about change. I hate change! Although I am actually quite excited about starting sixth form next year, and the fact I get to wear non uniform and there are going to be boys (I go to an all girls school at the moment).

I was also thinking about how much people change. For example I have known my friend 'K' since we were in nursery and we have (had) been best friends for ages. But over the past year she has changed so much, I feel like I barely know her any more. We used to talk all the time, and practically live at each others houses, but know the only time we see each other is when her mum takes us to the bus stop. Then when we get there she will go off and stand with other people thinking she is too 'cool' to stand with us. It's not just me that thinks this either though, my friend 'Bambi' feels exactly the same. Sorry I'm rambling, but I just hate it when people change like that, and act like you aren't even friends, don't you? And I realise that I have probably changed too, but I just really miss her since we used to be attatched at the hip!

Those little things

These are just a few of the little things that always make me smile:

- Singing along really loudly (and out of tune)

- When someone gives you a genuine compliment

- Being given flowers - My love life is non existent, but one of the little boys that I babysit picks me flowers every time I see him. It is so cute :)

- When someone writes a whole essay inside your birthday card

- Being on a slow bus and watching a long quee of cars form ehind you

- Watching something you loved as a kid

- Brushing my horses - There is something really soothing about it as well

- The smell of freshly cut grass - I know it's cliche, but still

- The first snowflakes starting to fall

- Being the first person to walk in the snow

- Walking into a warm building after being outside in the cold

- Finding money you didn't know you had

- When a little kid reaches to hold your hand

- When there is only one of something left and it is in your size

I didn't realise how many things there are until I started writing this, I could seriously go on for ever! I will stop here though, don't worry.
What are the little things that make you smile?
Guess what I have just got back from doing... driving! Me, my brother and my dad went out to get something, and my brother ('J') decided that he wanted to have a go at driving the car. We were in my mums car which already has a massive dent in so my dad agreed, if it had been his precious car there would have been no way!

We drove over to a track that goes to my house, and doesn't have any houses (or people for us to run over) along most of it, and J got in the front. There was a lot of my dad shouting "CLUTCH, CLUTCH!",  stalling the car and me laughing in the backseat, and then it was my turn. I adjusted the seat (my thirteen year old brother is taller than me!) and I was off!

Driving went pretty well... until we came to corner! I didn't steer enough or something, and suddenly all three of us were heading straight for a bush! My Dad was shouting at me and frantically turning wheel, and luckily we missed the bush, it wouldn't have been fun explaining to my mum why her car was in a bush by the side of the road! The car (and the three of us) came out of it unharmed though, so I don't think I did too badly! Especially since the last time I tried to drive a car was when I was 12 and me and my brothers stole the car keys. I didn't even make it out of the drive that time!

I can't wait til next year when I can drive now!

Hi There

Hi,

Okay so what can I tell you about myself? I am a 15 (nearly 16) year old girl. I live in a small town in England, not really much to say there it's pretty boring. . I love horseriding, Glee, How I Met Your Mother, swimming and fanfiction.I am starting this blog because I love to write, and love telling random people out there in the world about my life and my opinions on anything and everything. I am new to the world of blogging, so any tips or whatever are always good.

I am currently in year 11, so I have just had to choose all of my a-level options for next year. Everyone at school has been asking what I want to be when I grow up. I wish people would stop asking this, because every time I give the same answer: I have no idea! Everyone else seems to know exactly what they want to do with their lives, even which Uni they want to go to, but I still feel like I am way too young to decide such big things as that. Do you know what I mean? I spent ages trying to decide what it is I wanted to do, and then I remembered this speech from twilight:

"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case… princess.

When we were ten, they asked again and we answered - rock star, cowboy, or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how 'bout this: who the hell knows?!

This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, its time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chill. Fall in love - a lot. Major in philosophy 'cause there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent.

So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask again what we want to be… we won't have to guess. We'll know."
